Stay Grounded

Mindfulness is becoming essential in healthcare—and rad techs are no exception. With constant multitasking and patient turnover, your brain deserves mini grounding moments. Try the “5-second pause”: before hitting “start,” inhale deeply, sit tall, and focus only on the patient in front of you. Use routine tasks—placing markers, adjusting coils, prepping contrast—as anchors to stay present. Even a mindful sip of water counts! The more intentional you are, the less drained you’ll feel by the end of your shift. Mindfulness: tiny moments, huge recharge.
